My name is Dan and I am a 30-something IT professional busy balancing family life alongside a hectic work schedule. I am a graduate of Kingston University and the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Since then I have worked in the ISP industry busy keeping the tubes open while they process your data.
In 2008 we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and we have a 8 year son who online I refer to as MiniMe.
In March 2007 I took MiniMe to karate training under the guidance of Kilburn SKC and we have both been training there since as we progress through each grade. We both competed in the JKA National Kyu Grade Championships in 2007 and 2008 with MiniMe winning a gold medal in 2008 for kumite. In 2009 we both completed our brown belt gradings and competed in the JKAE National Championship.
Kilburn SKC split from JKA at the end of 2009 and formed Shotokan Karate Centres England along with a group of former JKAE affiliated karate clubs. We have decided to maintain our relationship with JKAE and to retain the choice of grading with JKAE so we are now training with Kilburn and Shiranamikai on a regular basis. Our karate training will continue to develop and change through 2010 as MiniMe changes school to an English Primary School and we make decisions on our karate grading.
Our little web site documents our karate progress…
